Keep in mind people can post spam and other stuff if you dont have a user login system, this just provides the basic funtionality for posting.
Although i havent looked in blogs recently, this maybe close to one.

Well that is what this does.
Advatage is no SQL required. Stores in files on server.
Many have limited MySQL storage, a few have none.
Is basicly the news poster with the Discussions page included into it.
just changed the page name that it loads to the news view file so that it works with the paging of the dynamic news poster.
Could be modified for the non dynamic one also. But would have to change it to make .php files and add the include Discussions page when i makes the pages.

Configure each file save dir. both are dynamic so is recomended that they are stored below http server root.
